Tomorrow at 11am EDT- Fan Presale for StarTalk Live! at the Beacon Theatre NYC on 9/15/16

Our StarTalk Live! shows at the Beacon Theatre in NYC are turning out to be a high point of our year, thanks to a combination of timely topics and great guests, and the fact that they are part of the Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival, which always includes some of the finest comedic talent in the country.

Last year, the show was all about “Comets and the Rosetta Mission and Pluto and the New Horizons Mission.” Host Neil deGrasse Tyson welcomed Dr. Natalie Starkey as his science guest, and everybody liked Natalie so much, we invited her to become one of the hosts of our new podcast series, StarTalk All-Stars, premiering this June. Co-host Eugene Mirman’s comedy guests were Scott Adsit, who was at our very first StarTalk Live!, and Ilana Glazer, who’s become one of Comedy Central’s hottest stars thanks to her show, Broad City. Music legend Christine Lavin even jumped on stage to sing a song about Pluto. (You’ll be able to listen to Part 1 of that show on June 3, and Part 2 on June 10.)

The previous year, Neil and Eugene were joined by two of the most outspoken public champions of the theory of evolution, Richard Dawkins and Bill Nye, along with returning guest comedian Jim Gaffigan and Maeve Higgins, who has gone on to be one of our most popular comic co-hosts. (Listen here: Part 1 and Part 2.)

And the first time we took the stage at the Beacon, we had Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., His Holiness the Gyalwang Drukpa, hydrogeologist Dr. Tess Russo, and comedian Jason Sudeikis to help Neil and Eugene explore “Water World.” (Listen here: Part 1 and Part 2.)

Who will our guests be when we return to the Beacon this year on September 15? What will the topic be? By now you know that even if we did know, we’re not at liberty to tell. (But we don’t know. At least, I don’t.)

Here’s what we do know:

  • StarTalk Live! will be at the Beacon Theatre in New York City on September 15, as part of the Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival.
  • Doors open at 7 pm, show starts at 8 pm.

Fan Presale Starts Tomorrow, but…

Normally, we give everyone the link and the password for fan presale the instant presale starts. But, as a special reward for everyone who is still reading this blog post, here is the link and the password. You’ll still have to wait until tomorrow at 11:00 AM to get your tickets, but at least this will put you at the front of the line!

For our Patreon Patrons

As many of you know, we have a Patreon fan support page for StarTalk. One of the rewards is the ability to purchase seats in the VIP section at StarTalk Live! events. Another reward is a Patron’s only “Meet and Greet” after StarTalk Live shows. You can find out about both rewards on our Patreon page.

A Warning About Tickets

You, our fans, are not the only people eligible for the presale. The Beacon Theatre has a presale, too, along with Chase and American Express. I only mention this because the best seats for our Beacon shows go quickly, so you may not want to wait too long.

That’s it for now. Keep Looking Up!
