It’s always exciting when we feature a new comic co-host on StarTalk Radio. This week, Iliza Shlesinger joins Neil deGrasse Tyson for another episode of Cosmic Queries.

Now you may already know Iliza. She was the youngest comic to ever win Last Comic Standing, and she’s the host of Separation Anxiety on TBS.

But I’d never heard her until I was previewing this week’s show, and I have to admit that I’m an instant fan. Her unique brand of comedy and her explosive enthusiasm fits in perfectly with our regular rotation of comic co-hosts, each with their own particular style: Maeve Higgins, Leighann Lord, Eugene Mirman, and Chuck Nice.

As to what this week’s show is all about, it truly is a “Galactic Grab Bag.” Iliza asks Neil questions that we’ve gathered from all of our social media channels, about subjects ranging from light sails and laser beams to intelligent dinosaurs and antimatter. You’ll find out what Neil’s favorite type of music is, why there’s no such thing as being absolutely still, and the most dangerous aspect of faster than light travel. All this plus faster-than-light travel, pulsars, quasars, magnetars, neutron stars, white dwarfs, nuclear testing, honeymoons, peeing on Pluto, and so much more.

We’re eager to know what you think of Iliza, so when we post the podcast tomorrow night, please let us know in the comments on the episode page.

That’s it for now. Keep Looking Up!
