StarTalk All-Stars to Record an Episode at Space Stories at The Explorers Club

On Saturday, October 7, 2017, a special all-day “Space Stories” program at The Explorers Club will feature three intrepid space travelers, a planetary scientist, a Grammy Award winning composer, and creative artists, all contributors to the exploration and celebration of space. The event is open to the public, and takes place at the club’s historic world headquarters in NYC’s upper East Side.

This year’s program will conclude with the live recording of a StarTalk All-Stars panel hosted by former Shuttle astronaut Mike Massimino, with a comic co-host (TBD) and panelists former astronaut Sandy Magnus, New Horizons mission principal investigator Alan Stern, and Grammy-winning composer Eric Whitacre. You’ll need to buy a ticket to Space Stories to be in the audience for our panel, but the $50 ticket price includes all the great interviews and panels, meet and greets, and more, plus a light breakfast, lunch, and snacks available throughout the day.

Space Stories is hosted by the club’s Space Advisory Committee: Former Shuttle astronaut Leroy Chiao, Adventure Journalist Jim Clash, and StarTalk’s Community Manager Stacey Severn.

3:30 PM: Exploring Legends Interview with former Shuttle Astronaut Mike Massimino interviewed by Jim Clash
4:30 PM: StarTalk All-Stars, hosted by Mike Massimino with a panel including Sandy Magnus, Alan Stern, and Eric Whitacre, recorded live from The Explorers Club
5:30 PM: Wrap-up meet and greet + book signing
