StarTalk + Brilliant.org
StarTalk worked with Brilliant.org to create explainer content using Brilliant’s online lessons. These are 8-12 minute explainer-style videos with animations to supplement what Neil is talking about. Two videos in the series have topped 4 million views. Here’s one of them…
Sample video: Neil Tyson Demonstrates Absurdity of “Flat Earth”

StarTalk + Audible
Audible came to StarTalk to help promote Andy Weir’s book Artemis. Neil interviewed Andy for the podcast, and we recorded a custom video with Neil and LeVar Burton reading “Goodnight Moon” under a giant moon art display created for Andy’s book.

StarTalk + GE
When GE wanted to launch their Creator-In-Residence program, a creative incubator for the future voices in science, they came to StarTalk. Their first CIR, Sally Le Page, recorded 3 segments with Neil deGrasse Tyson, host of StarTalk Radio, and Bill Nye, host of StarTalk All-Stars. Neil and Bill helped Sally find the real science in Mad Max: Fury Road, Tomorrowland, and Jurassic World.

StarTalk + YouTube Originals
To promote their new web series, Origin, on YouTube Originals, StarTalk worked with the show’s agency to help put the show on the map. We created a short video on our YouTube channel that encouraged fans to check out a longer, custom episode on the Origin page. Both videos featured Neil deGrasse Tyson, Chuck Nice, and Dr. Sheyna Gifford, the “space doc” on a simulated Mars colony, exploring episode themes from Origin and the science behind it.

StarTalk + Google
As a part of the “Making Science with Google” initiative, StarTalk asked fans for questions about making, and engineer Bill Nye the Science Guy answered them in a weekly segment affixed to the end of the StarTalk Radio podcast.

StarTalk + Facebook
Facebook asked us to create premium content for their new Facebook Watch program. We created Wheel of Science, an interactive video-first question-and-answer show which features animation throughout, starring Neil deGrasse Tyson and Chuck Nice.

StarTalk + YouTube 360
When YouTube added 360 VR functionality to their site, they came to StarTalk to create some of their first 360VR original programming. Because we were among the first to use their equipment, we (and YouTube) learned a lot along the way – including that we couldn’t film for long periods of time because we would literally melt the SD cards!

StarTalk + Tenor (Google)
After our breakout success on Giphy, StarTalk partnered with Tenor (owned by Google) to populate the internet with science gifs featuring Neil deGrasse Tyson, our comic co-hosts, and our diverse group of guests. They helped us create hundreds of gifs that can be used and searched on just about any platform. The added clout of Google combined with our content worked: our Tenor gifs have been shared and seen hundreds and millions of times.

StarTalk Live
The ultimate StarTalk experience is watching a live recording of our show with hundreds – or thousands of fans! We’ve played shows at venues like New York Comic Con, The Apollo Theater, The Beacon Theater, The Bell House, The Count Basie Theatre, BAM, & more.

StarTalk + Fox Sports
StarTalk teamed up with Fox Sports for their 2018 World Cup broadcasts. We created multiple videos in which Neil and other scientists explained the science behind soccer… or football.

StarTalk + NatGeo
The partnership between StarTalk and the National Geographic Channel has resulted in 5 seasons of TV so far, including 4 Emmy nominations, a best-selling book based on the podcast, and a guest cast of A-list celebrities, politicians, athletes, comedians, and scientists, including Neil’s powerful interview with Professor Stephen Hawking, one of his last.

StarTalk + Business Insider
Business Insider and StarTalk have been orbiting each other for years. From Neil’s interviews with entrepreneurs, tech gurus and celebrities for distribution within Insider’s networks, to explainer videos tackling science in the news and more evergreen subjects like climate change, we co-created branded content that was a win-win for both our audiences.

StarTalk + Mashable
We brought a little bit of the StarTalk formula to Mashable, taking advantage of their studios and their production resources to co-create branded content that appeared on their website and their social channels.

StarTalk + New York Comic Con
The universe may be our playground, but New York City is our backyard! StarTalk has been appearing at New York Comic Con since 2014! You can usually find us on the main stage on opening night, dispensing science to the geeekiverse. Some of our guests that have joined Neil on stage – Adam Savage, James “Murr” Murray & Brian Greene, Malcolm Gladwell, and Wyatt Cenac.

StarTalk + Twitter
While StarTalk’s Twitter doesn’t have the magnitude of Neil’s stellar Twitter following, our followers are highly engaged and loyal. We rewarded them (with the support of Twitter through promotions on their main Twitter handles and Instagram account) with a live Cosmic Queries stream from NYCC 2018.

StarTalk + LinkNYC
New York’s our home turf, so when NYC replaced all of its telephone booths with interactive kiosks with giant screens, we wanted to help. StarTalk provided LinkNYC with dozens of Neil deGrasse Tyson’s favorite science facts about New York City, and they were displayed in a rotation that got viewed hundreds of thousands of times. It was exciting to bring science to the streets and into people’s everyday lives.

StarTalk + Nerdist
When Nerdist launched their YouTube Channel, StarTalk was part of the mix. We gave Nerdist a few of our live shows, and recorded a few new episodes to put on their channel, too. They’re still live 6 years later, and the video below has over 1 million views!

StarTalk + Wix.com
Nothing beats a good demonstration. Wix knows this, and is always on the lookout for influencers who can explain how easy it is to build a website using Wix. The timing was perfect for StarTalk. After our successful run of Wheel of Science on Facebook, we brought the series over to YouTube, sponsored by Wix. We created a website for the interactive science series using Wix and recorded host Chuck Nice as he built wheelofscience.com from scratch. This provided us with plenty of promotional content to use for the ten episodes of Wheel of Science that Wix sponsored.

StarTalk + Storyblocks
Storyblocks was trying to reach the kind of tech-savvy, creative listeners that inhabit the StarTalk universe. We’ve been Storyblocks users ourselves for years, so when it came to telling our audience just how great Storyblocks is, we were already a step ahead. Working together, we developed a Q4 sponsorship campaign featuring buyouts on full video episodes of StarTalk, custom ad creative, and the creation of three brand-new science explainer videos featuring Neil deGrasse Tyson.

Video & Audio Sponsorships

We offer traditional pre-roll, mid-roll and post-roll ads on our video and audio properties.

Audio podcast ads are inserted dynamically. This means that we can give exact numbers of impressions for our advertisers. We can also put new ads into our back-catalogue. Two-thirds of our 4 million monthly plays take place in our back catalogue, so if you’re looking for a way to hit a larger audience, we’ve got you covered.
