If you’re lucky enough to be able to join us for StarTalk Live! in Provincetown on July 23, you’re going to get to attend a bit of a reunion.
That’s because guest host Bill Nye the Science Guy and comic co-host Eugene Mirman will be joined on stage by actor and comedian Scott Adsit. Scott is best known to the general public as Pete on 30 Rock, but to StarTalk Live! fans, he was one of the participants in The Particle Party, considered by many of our fans to be one of our best StarTalk Live! episodes ever. He was also a guest at our very first StarTalk Live! from the Bell House back in 2011. (If you haven’t listened yet, you can catch up to The Particle Party Part 1 here and Part 2 here and Live at the Bell House Part 1 and Part 2.)
On the science side of the stage, StarTalk Live! will be welcoming oceanographer Dr. David Gallo, Ph.D., Director of Special Projects at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. David was a pioneer in exploring the bottom of the ocean using robots and submarines. He’s helped map the location of the Titanic and find the wreckage of Air France Flight 447. He is a member of James Cameron’s Deep Ocean Task Force and the XPrize Ocean Advisory Board and his TED talk on “Underwater Astonishments” is one of the most viewed ever.
P-Town might be a bit far for some of us to get to, but if you’re in Boston, Cape Cod or other parts of New England, this is your chance to join Bill, Eugene, Scott, and David for a very special, very Cape Cod “StarTalk Live! What Lies Beneath.” It’s presented by WBUR. Doors open at 7 p.m., show 8 p.m. Tickets are $40 Orchestra seats; $30 Balcony seats and are still available. You can get yours here.
That’s it for now. Keep Looking Up!
