It’s Time for StarTalk Radio Cosmic Quips and Clips: Comedy

It’s time for another installment of StarTalk Radio Cosmic Quips and Clips from our comedy contributor, Dan Perlman. For those of you who don’t know, the videos in our Cosmic Quips and Clips playlist are our favorite videos where comedy collides with science and pop culture which Dan has found for us on YouTube. (As always, all copyrights belong to their respective copyright holders.)

First up, here’s one from comedian Nate Bargatze about not believing in science or evolution, the demotion of Pluto and more.

Next up, from Late Show with David Letterman, Norm MacDonald doesn’t understand why it’s so hard for NASA astronaut and moonwalker Harrison Schmitt to get some recognition. (©2014 CBS Interactive. All rights reserved.)

Dan has also chosen a bit by science comedian Brian Malow, where he compares the blistering temperatures in Arizona to the surface of Venus and a post-apocalyptic nightmare Earth.

Finally, believe it or not, comes PsychOut, a comedy video from NASA Spitzer’s IRrelevant Astronomy, with credits that include executive producer Dr. Michelle Thaller, who is the Assistant Director for Science Communication and Higher Education, Sciences and Exploration Directorate at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center and director Tim Pyle, who works as an animator for NASA (working on the Spitzer Space Telescope and GALEX missions).

We hope you enjoy Dan’s selections. By the way, if you have a clip you’d like to share with us, please tell us in the comments below. (Keep them clean, though… we try to run a family friendly website.)

That’s it for now. Keep Looking Up!
