“Bosons like to party!”
–Kyle Cranmer

“I am so old I remember when there was no such thing as coherent light.”
–Bill Nye

“Answer me truthfully. Are you making mini black holes at CERN?”
–Neil deGrasse Tyson

“Are you moving so quick now that it seems like time has stopped?”
–Eugene Mirman

Some of our fans have already called Part 1 of the Particle Party celebrating the discovery of the Higgs boson the best StarTalk Live ever, and with quotes like that, it’s no wonder why.

This week, you can discover for yourself if Part 2 lives up to its predecessor. Here’s a hint: Bill Nye the Science Guy talks about the spacecraft he’s building, astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson explains why photons are beautiful, and CERN physicist and NYU Assistant Professor of Physics Kyle Cranmer explains why super symmetry may hold the key to dark matter.

And while co-host Eugene Mirman, 30 Rock comedian Scott Adsit and author Sarah Vowell were on hand for comic relief, there was plenty of jocularity emanating from the scientists on the stage as well. (I’ve got 5 words for you: “Let me axe you dis!”)

Part 2 of the Particle Party will be available right here on our website and on iTunes this Sunday, Nov. 11, 7:00pm EST.
